It has been a while!

It has been a very long while, but this is about to change. A new year and a new promise to write more about my painting journey and process. The last few years have taken me on quite a journey from a painting perspective. Strangely as time has moved on and I have become a better painter my main observation has been that with every brush stroke I make the more I discover I dont know. There is so much to learn and at 41years of age I hope I have left enough time to discover a whole lot more. I assumed that the more I paint the easier it would become but each blank canvas presents the same challenge, the same "oh goodness, how am I going to tackle this composition?". In a way I suppose this is a relief as the journey is always more fun than then the end. So note to oneself - 'keep painting, you have so much to learn'
