About Tom
I am a landscape painter, drawn to subjects and composition that stirs my subconscious understanding of the world. I look for these subjects in the natural landscape or the man made.
I am at home painting in the remote countryside and equally amongst the crowds of a city.
I have always preferred painting outside and have been doing it all my painting life.
I am an associate member with the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. I regularly exhibit at the Mall Galleries in London.
It has also been a great honour to be on the panel of judges with the Hampstead Art Society summer exhibition since 2021

My kit and materials.
For plein air painting I use the Open Box M box/easel. It is a great tool for the artist who likes to paint outdoors. I use this with a manfrotto tripod.
