I can tailor these workshops to help with the specific needs and wants of the student. We can discuss this before the workshop.
I can help with:
Obervational drawing, perspective, tonal values,
Mixing colour, stages of creating a painting, materials, composition and everything in-between.

About Me

I am a member with the Royal Society of Marine Artists and associate member with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, exhibiting at the Mall Galleries in London every year. I am one of the original members of the selection committee for the Hampstead Art Society and I am on its judging panel each year for its annual summer exhibition.

Spending my childhood growing up in New Zealand, I was introduced to oil painting at an early age by my father. At sixteen, I achieved membership to the Society of Architectural Illustrators and went on to complete my art training with a degree in Illustration at the University of Kent at Canterbury.

The beautiful sense of light and shadow that was so much part of my early life in New Zealand has informed my painting subjects ever since. I use this keen sense of light to render my local landscape which includes the countryside, coast, marine subjects and London.

In the unlikely event that I am unable to host the workshop, in the first

instance I will make every effort to reschedule a date that the student/group can make. If no alternative date can be found then a full refund will be made.
If after booking you can no longer make the planned date I will give you the option

to choose another date.
